Job Title: In-Home Therapist for Family and Children Services
Location: Hinesville, Savannah, Statesboro, Brunswick, Jesup, Kingsland, and surround areas
Job Description: DBA is seeking a compassionate and skilled In-Home Therapist with a Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related field to join our dedicated team. This role involves providing direct, in-home therapy to patients under the care of the Division of Family and Children Services (DFCS) and those associated with Amerigroup. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in creating individualized treatment plans and delivering therapy within patients’ homes, offering a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in the community we serve.
Key Responsibilities: Conduct in-home therapy sessions with patients, providing a safe and supportive environment for emotional and mental health care.
Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans based on each patient’s specific needs and goals.
Maintain thorough and confidential records of therapy sessions, assessments, and treatment plans.
Collaborate with DFCS, Amerigroup, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and advocate for the patient's well-being.
Provide testimony in court when required, effectively communicating patient progress and therapeutic insights.
Stay informed of the latest research and developments in therapy practices relevant to family and children services.
Offer crisis intervention services as needed and maintain availability for patient emergencies.
Qualifications: Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related field. Practicum/ Interns accepted with supervision provided.
Current, valid state licensure in mental health counseling or clinical social work (e.g., APC, LMSW, AMFT, LPC, LCSW, LMFT, LP) preferred, and must be completed within six months of hire.
Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish trust and rapport with a diverse patient population.
Proficiency in maintaining comprehensive and compliant clinical documentation.
Ability to work independently with strong organizational and time management skills.
A valid driver’s license and the willingness to travel locally to provide in-home patient care.
Completed background check required.
